The Relationship Between Subjective Well-Being and Future Expectations Among Earthquake-Affected and Non-Affected Adolescents
摘要
This study investigates the relationship between subjective well-being and future expectations among adolescents affected by an earthquake and those who were not. The sample consisted of 785 adolescents, including 372 affected by the earthquake and 413 unaffected. Data were collected using the Adolescent Subjective Well-Being Scale and the Adolescent Future Expectations Scale. Descriptive statistics, t-tests, and Pearson correlation analyses were used to assess the data. Overall, adolescents exhibited high levels of subjective well-being and future expectations; however, experiencing an earthquake negatively impacted both areas. A positive relationship was also found; higher levels of subjective well-being were associated with more positive future expectations.
