<p>The Pareto method is utilized in the early stages of multicriteria analysis to reduce the initial set of alternatives. However, the results obtained from multicriteria methods can be influenced by errors in the input data. This article provides a description of the Pareto method, highlighting its applicability solely to the nominal values of the indicators used for comparing alternatives. Additionally, it proposes an approach for creating a Pareto-efficient set while considering errors in these indicator values. The practical implementation of this approach is demonstrated through examples. These examples further illustrate that the proposed method can address the ambiguity in ranking alternatives when several multicriteria methods are employed.</p>
