Fine Characterization Technology of Deep Tidal-Controlled Sandbody Reservoirs
摘要
To enhance the potential tapping and production increase of oil and gas fields in the Pingbei area, and to address current challenges such as insufficient structural understanding in exploration and development, this study takes the deep tidal-controlled sandbody reservoirs of the Pinghu Formation as a representative example. Geological characteristics of the study area were first analyzed, followed by an in-depth investigation of the characterization methods and technical system for deep tidal-controlled sandbody reservoirs in the Pinghu Formation. Subsequently, the characterization results and application effectiveness were evaluated to provide a technical foundation for achieving the goals of stable reserves and production growth in the region. Research findings show that tidal-flat sand ridge complexes are continuously developed in the middle–upper intervals of the third member of the Pinghu Formation and represent the most promising deep high-quality reservoir bodies. Sweet-spot reservoirs are characterized by strong dissolution and relatively open pore structures, showing high consistency with high-probability sandbody zones indicated by inversion attributes. It is concluded that the characterization system constructed in this study provides an effective basis for sandbody delineation, reservoir property prediction, and potential-zone selection, thereby supporting the continuous deep potential tapping of oil and gas resources in the Pingbei region.
