Effect of Cellulose Modification on Methane Hydrate Formation
摘要
This study compares the conversion and gas binding rate during the formation of methane hydrate from water distributed on the surface of carboxylated nanofibrillar cellulose (CNC) modified with poly (2-hydroxyethyl acrylate), calcium alginate, 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate, polymethyl methacrylate, or by neutralizing the H+-form of CNC with an aqueous ammonia solution. The obtained data show that, although cellulose modification reduces the target parameters of the process, it allows them to be varied over a wide range.
