<p>Based on the models that describe fractures, a new method for predicting fracture networks in hydraulic fracturing was developed, including mathematical models and specific procedures. The feasibility of this method was investigated, and it was found that the fracture network predicted by this method in numerical simulations is not significantly different from that obtained in fracturing simulations, and it fits well with actual production data. The effectiveness of this method in predicting fracture networks in tight gas reservoirs was studied, and the results showed that the prediction effect was good, with clear presentations of simulated pressure and remaining reserves.</p>
