Plasmachemical Pyrolysis as a Means for Obtaining Turbostratic Graphene from Raw Material with High Carbon Content

A procedure was studied for the preparation of turbostratic graphene from petroleum feedstock with high carbon content such as technical carbon and metallurgical graphite. Graphene soot containing 20-25 mass % graphene was obtained in plasmachemical pulse pyrolysis (flash pyrolysis). This energy-efficient process gives a valuable product from inexpensive raw material.
