<p>We read with great interest the recent article, “Comparison of survival between unilateral and bilateral breast cancers using propensity score matching: a retrospective single-center analysis” by Ozler et al. This study addresses an important gap in the literature by comparing disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) between unilateral and bilateral breast cancer, and the use of propensity score matching (PSM) strengthens the validity of the findings. However, we would like to share several reflections that we believe can enhance the interpretation and future application of this research.</p>

We read with great interest the recent article, “Comparison of survival between unilateral and bilateral breast cancers using propensity score matching: a retrospective single-center analysis” by Ozler et al. This study addresses an important gap in the literature by comparing disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) between unilateral and bilateral breast cancer, and the use of propensity score matching (PSM) strengthens the validity of the findings.
