Potential applications of the instantaneous power parameter in visualization of respiratory patterns during artificial pulmonary ventilation
摘要
The potential of using the instantaneous respiratory power parameter as a tool for visualizing respiratory patterns during artificial pulmonary ventilation is investigated. Options for using the instantaneous power parameter for generation of plots of respiration and respiratory loops are considered. Employment of the instantaneous power parameter is shown to have potential for calculating energy ratios in the patient circuit and for controlling artificial pulmonary ventilation modes.
