A mathematical model of a thermoelectric device for local hypothermia of the knee joint

Thie present article addresses calculation of thermophysical processes in a thermoelectric device for local hypothermia of the knee joint. The calculation model consists of solutions for three problems: determination of the temperature field of the cross section of the knee joint undergoing cooling, assessment of the parameters of the thermoelectric modules included in the device, and identification of the characteristics of the system removing heat from the hot junctions of the thermoelements included in the thermal modules.
