Comparative study of the hemodynamic characteristics of artificial mechanical heart valves with one and three leaflets in the tricuspid position

摘要

We present here a comparative study of two designs of artificial heart valves (AHV)—with one and three leaflets respectively—in relation to the situation of replacing the tricuspid (three-leaf) heart valve (TCV). The well-known AHV models presented in Russian Federation patents No. 202285 (Artificial mechanical single-leaf heart valve) and No. 181544 (Mechanical artificial heart valve) were selected as the main designs for study. Additionally, well-known AHV models were considered, namely the LIKS‑2 heart valve prosthesis manufactured by SKB MT LLC and the Tricardix AHV manufactured by Roscardioinvest LLC. The hemodynamic parameters of the native TCV were taken as reference values. Study results were obtained by modeling the working environment of the TCV and evaluating 3D models of the study devices in that environment using the SolidWorks software package (Dassault Systèmes, France) with the SolidWorks FlowSimulation extension.
