A probabilistic method for correcting pulse wave artifacts

A method for correcting the monotonic drift of arterial blood pressure pulsations based on probabilistic signal processing methods is addressed. We report here an analysis of the effects of the parameters used to correct for physiological influences on the extent of distortion of blood pressure pulsations depending on the rate of change of drift and the amplitude of physiological interference. A signal processing technique is proposed using elimination of the effects of pulmonary respiration as an example.
