Nonivasive methods for monitoring the characteristics of bone cement during radiotherapy in tumor patients
摘要
We report here studies on the mechanical and densitometric properties of a polymer bone cement material. Data on its radiation resistance have been obtained. The methods used here provide additional information on the properties of the material during radiotherapy in cancer patients and eliminate the fear of radiation damage when cement is present in the patient’s body. Safe use of bone cement improves quality of life in cancer patients.
