<p>Recurrent mortalities have negatively impacted the Dibah triangle’s cultured marine fish population, especially from late spring to early autumn, with streptococcosis being one of the major causes. A surveillance study was conducted to screen for streptococcosis at six marine farm sites through the Dibah triangle zone, focusing on farmed gilthead seabream and European seabass due to their economic importance. The study included farm characteristics, some biosecurity measures, and streptococcosis pattern. To address the disease’s etiological agent(s) and related biosecurity weaknesses, the streptococcosis surveillance was conducted within a total period of three years, visiting over 100 farms from May to September. A total of 360 gilthead seabream and European seabass samples were collected from infected, suspect, or history-positive farms. Meagre species samples (<i>n</i> = 30) were collected when cohabiting with infected farms. The study concluded that most of the investigated farms had multiple biosecurity issues, including conceptual, structural, and/or operational levels, with mean percentages of 80.7 ± 4.38, 68.5 ± 9.02, and 70.7% ± 9.31%, respectively. Insufficient or absent biosecurity measures were found at over 75% and may reach 100% at several points. Streptococcosis prevalence percentages were 18.5, 35.2, and 46.3% for the farms investigated in the northern, western, and southern sides, respectively. Out of 54 Gram-positive bacteria, including <i>Streptococci</i>, <i>Lactococci</i>, <i>Enterococci</i>, and <i>Staphylococci</i>, 6 and 3 isolates were molecularly identified as <i>L. garvieae</i> and <i>S. iniae</i>, respectively. Two isolates of each species were randomly selected, sequenced, and submitted to NCBI. High homologies and intraspecies similarities were found between the four isolates and the GenBank database, revealing phylogenetic close relationships. The study emphasises the link between streptococcosis episodes and the need for continuous biosecurity monitoring in the Dibah triangle, suggesting a comprehensive improvement programme and periodic disease investigations to mitigate economic losses.</p>
