摘要

This study explores the influence of niche leaders’ long-term orientation on their organizational resilience. Drawing on the temporal orientation perspective, we develop a theoretical framework that explores how the long-term orientation of niche leaders affects organizational resilience through two dimensions: stability and flexibility. Using a sample of publicly listed niche leaders in China during the COVID-19 pandemic, empirical analysis supports for our theoretical framework. Specifically, we find that long-term orientation has positive influence on niche leaders’ stability and flexibility. Furthermore, our findings also show the moderating roles of industry competition and customer concentration in the relationship between long-term orientation and organizational resilience. This study enriches our understanding of how and when niche leaders could leverage long-term orientation to build up resilience.
