Preventive planning of Product-as-a-Service offers to maintain the availability of required service level

This paper focusing on Product-as-a-Service (PaaS) model explores proactive management strategies to maintain the required service level availability in Multi-Function Printer offerings. In this context, we propose a comprehensive framework integrating predictive analytics, automated resource allocation, and adaptive service scaling to preemptively address potential disruptions and optimize service delivery. The problem considered in this work belongs to the class of resource allocation problems. It focuses on determining a strategy to plan leasing offers that meet the acceptable level of risk related to the occurrence of failure. Through a case study and results of conducted computer experiments, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our constraints programing approach in enhancing PaaS availability while optimizing resource utilization. Our findings can be useful in providing consistent and reliable services in the evolving digital ecosystem.
