Aid for trade flows and the strength of patent right protection
摘要
This study has examined the effect of aid for trade (AfT) flows on the strength of patent right protection in recipient countries. The analysis has used a panel dataset of 81 countries over the period from 2002 to 2015. Results indicate that AfT flows are associated with a stronger effective protection of patent rights in non-poorest countries, but a weaker effective protection of patent rights in poorest countries. The findings of the analysis shed light on the relationship between AfT flows and patent right protection of in AfT recipient countries.
