<p>Compost teas and vermicompost teas are aqueous extracts increasingly used as sustainable alternatives to promote plant growth and yield, suppress plant diseases, and enhance tolerance to environmental stressors. Among these, abiotic stresses represent significant barriers to crop productivity worldwide. This study presents the first meta-analysis specifically focused on evaluating the effectiveness of compost teas and vermicompost teas in inducing plant tolerance to abiotic stresses. A&#xa0;systematic search was conducted across major scientific databases for articles published in the last five years, resulting in the selection of 21&#xa0;studies addressing the effects of these teas under heavy metal contamination, water deficit, salinity, and light stress. Overall effect sizes and subgroup analyses by stress type and tea type were performed to assess the capacity of these treatments to support plant growth, yield, physiology, and morphology under adverse conditions. The results demonstrate that both compost teas and vermicompost teas mitigate abiotic stress by enhancing antioxidant enzyme activity and/or non-enzymatic antioxidant compounds, maintaining K⁺ and Na⁺ homeostasis, and improving photosynthetic performance and nutrient uptake. Water deficit and salinity were the most effectively alleviated stresses, and the analysis indicated a&#xa0;tendency for superior results with compost tea.</p>
