<p>Dragon fruit, originally from Mexico and Central America, is cultivated in India for its health benefits, including aiding digestion, blood glucose control, and heart health. With fluctuating market prices, proper nutrient management is essential to sustain productivity. Excessive chemical fertilizers have degraded soil, making integrated nutrient management (INM) a&#xa0;sustainable approach. Organic practices using farmyard manure (FYM), vermicompost, and biofertilizers reduce chemical inputs, improve soil health, and support consistent yields. In the present study, the effect of nine treatments comprising FYM, vermicompost, and <i>Azotobacter </i>applied individually or in combination on fruit yield, quality and economics of 4‑year-old dragon fruit plants was studied. The study reveals that the application of <i>Azotobacter</i>@200 ml/plant with 50% of&#xa0;N through FYM and 50% through vermicompost was best among all the treatments in terms of fruit yield and quality, with the highest fruit weight (296.01 g), fruit length (16.99 cm), fruit breadth (15.17 cm), total soluble solids (TSS) (10.86 ⁰B), ascorbic acid (15.38 mg/100 g), titratable acidity (0.22%), reducing sugars (4.27%), non-reducing sugar (4.10%), total sugars (8.37%), pulp weight (230.23 g), fruit firmness (4.16 kg/cm<sup>2</sup>) and yield (4.54 kg/plant). The same treatment, i.e., <i>Azotobacter</i>@200 ml/plant with 50% of&#xa0;N through FYM and 50% through vermicompost, was best in terms of economics of cultivation of dragon fruit with the highest gross income (₹&#xa0;3960.00), net return (₹&#xa0;3268.98), and a&#xa0;cost–benefit ratio of 1:4.73, thus establishing it as a&#xa0;sustainable approach for optimal yield with minimal inputs.</p>
