<p>Alkaline stress is an abiotic stress type that negatively affects plant nutrient uptake, growth, and physiological balance due to high pH and excess bicarbonate ions. This study was conducted to mitigate the adverse effects of stress induced by sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3)induced alkaline stress through the application of salicylic acid (SA) and ascorbic acid (AsA) under <i>in vitro </i>conditions. The study was designed with six treatments: A&#xa0;(Control), B&#xa0;(400 mg&#xa0;L−1 NaHCO3), C&#xa0;(400 mg&#xa0;L−1 NaHCO3 + 85 mg&#xa0;L−1 AsA), D&#xa0;(400 mg&#xa0;L−1 NaHCO3 + 65 mg&#xa0;L−1 SA), E&#xa0;(85 mg&#xa0;L−1 AsA), and F&#xa0;(65 mg&#xa0;L−1 SA). Parameters evaluated in the study included survival rate (P1), shoot length (P2), number of leaves (P3), rooting rate (P4), number of roots (P5), root length (P6), plant fresh weight (P7), plant dry weight (P8), leaf relative water content (P9), membrane permeability (P10), chlorophyll&#xa0;a&#xa0;(P11), chlorophyll&#xa0;b (P12), and total chlorophyll (P13). For P5, the highest value was found in E&#xa0;(28.40 pieces/plantlet), and the lowest value was in D&#xa0;(1.33 pieces/plantlet). The highest value for P6 was observed in A&#xa0;(3.23 cm), and the lowest value in F&#xa0;(0.33 cm). For P7, the highest value was found in B&#xa0;(0.89 g), and the lowest value in F&#xa0;(0.07 g). The highest value for P8 was recorded in A and E&#xa0;(0.10 g), and the lowest value in F&#xa0;(0.02 g). The highest value for P9 was found in F&#xa0;(99.4%), and the lowest value in D&#xa0;(77.6%). For P10, the highest value was found in E&#xa0;(72.83%), and the lowest value in D&#xa0;(37.97%). In P11, the highest value was observed in E&#xa0;(2.20 mg/ml), and the lowest value in D&#xa0;(0.83 mg/ml). For P12, the highest value was found in F&#xa0;(0.97 mg/ml), and the lowest value in A&#xa0;(0.35 mg/ml). 摘要

Alkaline stress is an abiotic stress type that negatively affects plant nutrient uptake, growth, and physiological balance due to high pH and excess bicarbonate ions. This study was conducted to mitigate the adverse effects of stress induced by sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3)induced alkaline stress through the application of salicylic acid (SA) and ascorbic acid (AsA) under in vitro conditions. The study was designed with six treatments: A (Control), B (400 mg L−1 NaHCO3), C (400 mg L−1 NaHCO3 + 85 mg L−1 AsA), D (400 mg L−1 NaHCO3 + 65 mg L−1 SA), E (85 mg L−1 AsA), and F (65 mg L−1 SA). Parameters evaluated in the study included survival rate (P1), shoot length (P2), number of leaves (P3), rooting rate (P4), number of roots (P5), root length (P6), plant fresh weight (P7), plant dry weight (P8), leaf relative water content (P9), membrane permeability (P10), chlorophyll a (P11), chlorophyll b (P12), and total chlorophyll (P13). In the study, the highest value for the P1 parameter was recorded in A (100.00%), while the lowest values were found in D and F (25%). The highest value for the P2 parameter was found in E (6.35 cm), and the lowest value in F (1.05 cm). For the P3 parameter, the highest value was observed in A (22.78 pieces/plantlet), and the lowest value was in F (9.33 pieces/plantlet). The highest value for P4 was recorded in A, B, C, and E (50.00%), and the lowest value in F (9.3%). For P5, the highest value was found in E (28.40 pieces/plantlet), and the lowest value was in D (1.33 pieces/plantlet). The highest value for P6 was observed in A (3.23 cm), and the lowest value in F (0.33 cm). For P7, the highest value was found in B (0.89 g), and the lowest value in F (0.07 g). The highest value for P8 was recorded in A and E (0.10 g), and the lowest value in F (0.02 g). The highest value for P9 was found in F (99.4%), and the lowest value in D (77.6%). For P10, the highest value was found in E (72.83%), and the lowest value in D (37.97%). In P11, the highest value was observed in E (2.20 mg/ml), and the lowest value in D (0.83 mg/ml). For P12, the highest value was found in F (0.97 mg/ml), and the lowest value in A (0.35 mg/ml). Lastly, the highest value for P13 was observed in E (3.05 mg/ml), and the lowest value in D (1.22 mg/ml). The results of the study indicated that AsA application positively alleviated the effects of alkaline stress, while SA application showed negative effects on the development of aronia plantlets.
