摘要

Alternaria brassicicola isolates that were resistant to SDHI fungicides were found on broccoli in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan, in 2023 and 2024. The 11 isolates were resistant to boscalid, penthiopyrad, pyraziflumid, and inpyrfluxam (minimum inhibitory concentration [MIC] ≥ 2700 ppm) on YB agar, with intermediate resistance to isofetamid (MIC 5 ppm). In fungicide tests using a resistant isolate, only isofetamid significantly reduced disease severity compared with that in untreated controls. All resistant isolates had a point mutation (A to G) in the SdhC gene, leading to an amino acid substitution from histidine to arginine at position 134.
