Evaluation und Optimierung der Handlungspläne für epileptische Anfälle
摘要
Epileptic seizures pose particular challenges for patients, relatives and caregivers due to their unpredictability. The previously developed standardized action plan for epileptic seizures by laypersons (HEAL, Handlungsplan epileptischer Anfall für Laien) and the action plan for epileptic seizures by “therapists” (HEAT, Handlungsplan epileptischer Anfall für “Therapeuten”) have now been systematically evaluated and optimized. The evaluation was conducted via an online questionnaire completed by 34 physicians of various training levels and 57 action plan recipients (caregivers, patients, relatives). The assessment of individual sections showed predominantly positive results (mean values between 1.3 and 2.2 on a scale of 1–6). Only the section on “seizure types” was rated slightly worse (2.1–2.2) and was revised accordingly. Overall user-friendliness was rated very positively (90–93 out of 100 points). Based on qualitative and quantitative feedback both action plans were optimized (version 2.0) with simplified seizure descriptions, clearer presentation of staged therapy approaches and improved clarity. Additionally, a completion guide was developed. The optimized action plans represent an important step towards standardization in German-speaking regions and will be available via the websites of the relevant professional societies.
