Gibt es eine psychosomatische Epileptologie?

摘要

As epileptic seizures typically combine organ-related changes, such as loss of consciousness, convulsions and neurovegetative phenomena with psychological aspects, such as specific triggers, changes in ego experience or perception, a psychosomatic view of them would seem to be obvious. Nevertheless, it is relatively uncommon in epileptology. Based on the Gestaltkreis concept of anthropological medicine, the article explains which perceptual orientation can be used to access the backgrounds of the illness. This is illustrated by a case history, after which the potential of a psychosomatic supplement to epileptological practice is finally considered.
