The aim is to describe the procedure with special instructions for adaptation of the treatment in people with intellectual development disorders.

The treatment of dissociative seizures in people with intellectual development disorders should basically be the same as the procedure for people with normal intelligence. The necessary adaptations are easy to implement with a little practice. Rethinking the care of mentally ill people with intellectual development disorders is therefore urgently needed and desirable.
