<p>This article looks into abortion from a&#xa0;reproductive justice perspective and analyzes barriers concerning abortion care in the context of sociopolitical dynamics in Germany. Building on the concept of reproductive justice, which was originally developed by Black feminist activists in the USA, it shows how reproductive rights are intertwined with issues of social inequality, structural discrimination and historical power relationships. The authors examine the legal framework and the current situation regarding abortion care in Germany, highlighting regional differences, institutional barriers, and ideological influences. Particular emphasis is placed on the influence of Christian fundamentalist, radical conservative and far-right actors who systematically restrict reproductive self-determination. The article argues that reproductive rights must be understood not only as an individual concern but also as a&#xa0;measure of democratic stability and social participation. Against this backdrop, reproductive justice is proposed and discussed as a&#xa0;guiding concept for fair, anti-discriminatory and human rights-based healthcare.</p>
