<p>Many oncological diseases and their treatment can have a negative effect on the sexual experience and behavior of affected persons and their partner. In many cases this results in an interaction of somatic and psychosocial causes. An early counselling helps to avoid the development of chronic sexual disorders and their negative effects on the satisfaction with the quality of life and partnership.</p>
