摘要

Recurrent spontaneous abortions (RSA), defined as three or more consecutive miscarriages in the same partnership, represent a complex disease pattern that affects approximately 1–3% of couples in the reproductive years. In addition to established risk factors, such as anatomical, autoimmune, endocrine, genetic and hemostaseological characteristics, infectious aspects of the cause of RSA are also discussed. This review article describes the evidence on the diagnostics and treatment approaches of genital infections in women with RSA, based on national and international guidelines.
