Kognitive Verhaltenstherapie für Frauen mit Insomnie in den Wechseljahren
摘要
Insomnia is one of the most common symptoms in women after the menopause and significantly affects those affected.
Aim of the studyThe aim of the study is to investigate the effect of cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) in peri- and postmenopausal women.
Materials and methodsStudies published on Ovid Medline and Google Scholar that have examined the effects of CBT‑I in peri- and postmenopausal women. The S3 guidelines for insomnia are used for treatment options.
ResultsCBT‑I is a highly effective therapy for women with insomnia during and after the menopause. In all studies examined, it was the therapy with the most successful results, whether the therapy was conducted in person or by phone. Sleep restriction therapy (SRT) could deliver similarly convincing results. Especially in terms of depressive symptoms, maladaptive thinking, and hyperarousal, SRT has shown similarly good results to CBT‑I. Non-definitive results were shown in terms of daytime functioning, work performance, and overall quality of life, but the results of CBT‑I and SRT were also comparable. Sleep hygiene advice (SHA) showed little to no effect in all studies. Patients with remitted Insomnia generally showed better health after therapy.
