Bedeutung und Besonderheiten kontrazeptiver Barrieremethoden
摘要
Barrier methods, such as condoms and diaphragms prevent the ova and spermatozoa from coming together. This pragmatic form of contraception has so far been discussed relatively rarely in the gynecological practice. In parallel to the growing skepsis regarding oral contraceptives, nonhormonal alternatives are gaining in importance. Therefore, physicians should not only know the advantages, disadvantages and the application of the methods but also be able to provide individual counselling in order to continue to be accepted as competent specialists on the topic of contraception.
