<p>The growing concern over environmental pollution from industrial dye effluents necessitates the development of sustainable and efficient treatment methods. Biochar, a carbon-rich material derived from agricultural residues, presents a promising solution for dye adsorption and agricultural waste management. This study highlights the properties of biochar that make it an ideal sorbent for dye adsorption and examines how feedstock quality, pyrolysis conditions, and surface characteristics influence the adsorption capacity. The studies demonstrate that biochar can efficiently remove various synthetic dyes from aqueous solutions, with adsorption depending on the surface area, pore size, and functional group. In addition to dye removal, the utilization of agricultural residues for biochar production offers dual benefits of waste management and environmental remediation. Biochar provides a cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative to conventional adsorbents, promoting circular economic practices. This paper offers a comprehensive analysis of biochar’s applications, benefits, and challenges in dye treatment and waste management, emphasizing its role in achieving sustainability.</p>
