<p>Emergency treatment is subject to a&#xa0;continuous change, although the surgical organization must simultaneously be reliably maintained. An effective planning of the rescue service requires a&#xa0;targeted control of treatment capacities to ensure a&#xa0;needs-conform and efficient patient management. In this respect IT-assisted systems provide a&#xa0;valuable support, assuming that they are meticulously cared for, regularly updated and used safely by all parties and guided in the sense of the system and not by the profitability or by mood changes. Simultaneously, the continuous situation of cancelled emergency admissions must be urgently addressed through an improved patient management and by additional structural measures in order to achieve a&#xa0;sustainable relief of the burden on the system.</p>

Emergency treatment is subject to a continuous change, although the surgical organization must simultaneously be reliably maintained. An effective planning of the rescue service requires a targeted control of treatment capacities to ensure a needs-conform and efficient patient management. In this respect IT-assisted systems provide a valuable support, assuming that they are meticulously cared for, regularly updated and used safely by all parties and guided in the sense of the system and not by the profitability or by mood changes. Simultaneously, the continuous situation of cancelled emergency admissions must be urgently addressed through an improved patient management and by additional structural measures in order to achieve a sustainable relief of the burden on the system.
