Angiographische Verfahren für Patienten mit Schlaganfall

Stroke is a symptom complex with acute neurological deficits. Especially with innovative and multimodal cross-sectional imaging diagnostics, hemorrhagic (20%) and ischemic stroke (80%) as well as stroke mimics can be differentiated. The treatment of ischemic stroke, in particular the highly effective mechanical thrombectomy with endovascular removal of blood clots, has changed fundamentally in the last 10 years. Studies underpin the effectiveness of this treatment and lead to constantly expanding and new indications. In Germany, about 10% of patients with ischemic stroke are currently treated with thrombus removal from cerebral arteries.
