Muskuloskeletaler Ultraschall beim Notfallpatienten
摘要
Acute diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system (MSK) are a common reason for presentation to the emergency department. Ultrasound is becoming increasingly important as a diagnostic imaging modality.
ObjectivesApplicability and significance of point-of-care ultrasonography for MSK pathologies in the emergency department and its value, particularly in comparison to other imaging modalities.
Materials and methodsPresentation of fields of application relevant to emergency medicine, overview of current literature, and expert recommendations.
ResultsUltrasound is highly valuable in the diagnosis of musculoskeletal emergencies.
ConclusionsIn musculoskeletal emergency patients, ultrasound can often contribute to the diagnosis and, thus, other, more expensive imaging examinations are not necessary.
