Exzellenz in der Lehre: Wie lernt man „ärztliche Heilkunst und Professionalität?“
摘要
Medical art(s) and excellence cannot be founded in medical studies when they are solely focused on the mediation of professional knowledge and skills. It needs to equip students with a specific (self-)reflective and critical understanding of their development towards the medical profession as well as of medicine itself. Borne out of debates in the 2000s on professionalism, professional identity formation (PIF) starts exactly at this point to offer teaching that meets with these demands. The article presents PIF and its significance for medical education in three stages: a historical contextualization traces the emergence and development of the concept. Subsequently, the theoretical framing and core elements of PIF are described. Finally, a look at the implementation of the concept into medical teaching highlights the didactic potentials as well as options for application.
