Smart Hospital – Chancen und Herausforderungen für die moderne Gesundheitsversorgung
摘要
The concept of the smart hospital describes a comprehensive digital transformation of inpatient care facilities to deliver high-quality, cross-sectorally connected and economically sustainable healthcare services by the integration of advanced technologies. It stands for a hospital model that is redefined not only technologically but also strategically with new definitions for care boundaries, clinical decision-making processes and interaction pathways between the inpatient and outpatient sectors and patients.
Core components of the smart hospital include a fully integrated clinical information system and digital key technologies, such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Medical Things, robotics, big data analytics, 5G, and digital twin models. These enable process automation, personalized treatment strategies, predictive analytics and real-time optimization of clinical processes. Structured interoperability, robust cybersecurity of data and continuously scalable data form the infrastructural foundation.
Effective implementation of smart clinical structures requires the strategic alignment of the digitalization agenda with overarching medical and business objectives. In addition to the technological infrastructure, targeted investments in qualified personnel, digital competency development and change management are essential. This includes the promotion of a digital competence as well as interdisciplinary leadership and collaboration.
The smart hospital functions as an integrated learning and adaptive system, pivoting in the central role in the development of precision medicine and represents a prerequisite for the sustainable future revenue generation in the inpatient sector of the healthcare system.
