Was kann die Gefäßchirurgie in der Behandlung von vaskulären Malformationen leisten?
摘要
Vascular malformation, which is also known as an “orphan disease”, is considered a rare disease. So is it an orphan child of vascular surgery? Vascular malformations are classified as either truncular and extratruncular forms, and as arterial or venous. Surgically, reconstructive and resecting procedures can be considered, depending on the findings. Early detection of the vascular structures involved is crucial for treatment outcomes. This enables in early interventional and/or vascular surgery, which in many cases complement each other. It has become clear that neither approach alone can be considered the sole correct method; rather, each has its own specific indications. Since it is a rare disease, an interdisciplinary treatment concept should be developed for each patient.
