Interaktion von Fettstoffwechselstörungen und Diabetes mellitus: Therapeutische Implikation
摘要
Lipid metabolism disorders and diabetes mellitus are interrelated and increase the cardiovascular risk. Insulin resistance, dyslipidemia and genetic factors play a key role in this interaction. Impaired lipid processing leads to altered triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels, which increase the risk of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular events. A healthy diet, weight reduction and regular exercise are decisive. Medications, such as metformin, statins, and glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) agonists as well as combination therapy, can improve insulin sensitivity, regulate lipid metabolism and reduce the cardiovascular risk, particularly for diabetics with a high risk of cardiovascular diseases.
