„QSWI“, ein Qualitätssicherungsverfahren zur Vermeidung postoperativer Wundinfektionen

  • Peter Breuer

摘要

The German quality assurance procedure QSWI for avoidance of postoperative nosocomial wound infections (NWI) creates a comparison of the quality of the service providers (LE) of certain so-called TRACER operations. For this purpose all German clinics report every suspected NWI to the German Institute for Quality Assurance and Transparency in the Healthcare System (IQTIG), which uses data from health insurance companies (so-called social data) to determine whether one of the TRACER operations has previously been carried out. In the year 2020 a total of 1% NWIs were found in 3 million TRACER operations. The procedure provides a large amount of data but is unsuitable for comparison of the quality of outpatient LE in vascular surgery with respect to the rate of postoperative NWI and there seems to be room for improvement regarding the inpatient sector of inpatient LE.
