Minimally invasive procedures have become an essential tool in the diagnostics and treatment of vascular diseases for both elective procedures and emergency treatment of vascular-associated illnesses. Despite rapid advances in innovation and accompanying technical safety, catheter-associated procedures carry a relevant potential for complications with sometimes far-reaching consequences for affected organs and patients. In this article frequently occurring complications of endovascular procedures, including respective management, are presented.
