Neue systemische Antitumortherapien: Erfassung im Rahmen der Krebsregistrierung
摘要
Since the Cancer Screening and Registry Act (KFRG) came into force in Germany in April 2013, the spectrum of cancer therapies has changed considerably, particularly as a result of advances in personalized medicine. This enables tailored treatment strategies based on genetic and molecular characteristics of the tumor and thus includes targeted therapies and immunotherapies as well as nanomedicine. These innovative approaches offer the potential to improve treatment outcomes and minimize side effects. The KFRG has stipulated the nationwide introduction of clinical cancer registries in all federal states to improve cancer treatment and care and to promote research. The nationally standardized oncological basic data set (oBDS), which provides information ranging from diagnosis to treatment steps and mortality, forms the legal basis for cancer registration and is continuously adapted. However, the increasing complexity of treatment approaches requires continuous but considered further development of the oBDS to adequately reflect novel therapies, combination therapies and long-term effects. The article highlights the effects of these developments on cancer documentation and discusses possible solutions for improving the recording and linking of relevant treatment information.
