Der Leib als Brückenbegriff
摘要
This article briefly introduces the concept of the “Leib” as a lived, experienced body and shows its relevance for diagnostics and therapy. Based on phenomenological psychopathology, the difference between “Leib” the lived and subjective body (experience, subject) and “Körper” the objective body (object) as well as central concepts such as intercorporeality, bodily resonance and bodily personality structure are explained. Psychological suffering is understood as a change in being in the world and the bodily relationship to the self and the world—not merely as an “inner psychological” or neurobiological deficit. It explains how the mostly pre-reflective, non-verbal level of expression and relationship between patient and practitioner can be developed diagnostically and used therapeutically. The body-phenomenological approach supplements conventional practice with a realistic, intersubjective perspective.
