Harm Reduction in der Suchthilfe
摘要
Opiate use is associated with an increased health risk for both users and the general population. For this reason, some state-of-the-art measures and programmes are offered in addiction treatment to counteract the risk to the individual and to society. This article deals with the syringe exchange programme and the take-home naloxone option in addiction counselling centres in Lower Austria. The case studies are intended to examine and explain the underlying problems of daily practice.
