<p>This article gives insights from a&#xa0;pilot study on outpatient forensic psychotherapy. The interactions analysed involve personality traits of patients, dropout rates, indication for psychotherapy and psychiatric care, as well as the role of the courts.</p><p>In this&#xa0;retrospective study, a&#xa0;total of 210 files of clients at the Association for Counselling and Health Provision for Menʼs and Gender Issues with a&#xa0;court order for psychotherapy were examined. From the original dataset, 33&#xa0;files were subsequently operationalised and statistically analysed.</p><p>The main results show that the dropout rates correlate with personality traits and criminal records. Moreover, it is shown that the location of the court with jurisdiction plays a&#xa0;role in psychotherapy in a court-ordered context. Despite the pilot nature of this study, findings on interactions in forensic psychotherapy and hypotheses for further research projects have emerged.</p>

This article gives insights from a pilot study on outpatient forensic psychotherapy. The interactions analysed involve personality traits of patients, dropout rates, indication for psychotherapy and psychiatric care, as well as the role of the courts.

In this retrospective study, a total of 210 files of clients at the Association for Counselling and Health Provision for Menʼs and Gender Issues with a court order for psychotherapy were examined. From the original dataset, 33 files were subsequently operationalised and statistically analysed.

The main results show that the dropout rates correlate with personality traits and criminal records. Moreover, it is shown that the location of the court with jurisdiction plays a role in psychotherapy in a court-ordered context.
