Besteht ChatGPT die neurologische Facharztprüfung? Eine kritische Betrachtung

Chat generative pre-trained transformer (ChatGPT) is a chatbot that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to communicate with the users. In the field of clinical neurology AI could support the treatment of patients, especially for complex or rare diseases. To investigate the potential of AI as an aid in the postgraduate neurological training, ChatGPT was tested with neurological examination questions at the level of the medical specialist. The results congruently demonstrate the potential of AI systems in the future support of training and patient care; however, the complexity of the neurological discipline represents a particular challenge not only for neurologists in training. Moreover, AI still has some relevant limitations for the translation into the clinical practice, including “hallucinations” and the lack of assessment of the reliability of the data sources.
