Thrombolyse? – Ein Quiz anhand einer Kasuistik

“Time is brain” is the motto during the acute phase of stroke treatment. In this time-sensitive situation, intravenous thrombolysis is sometimes initiated in a clinical scenario that in retrospect did not correspond to an ischemic stroke. Fortunately, the analysis of stroke registries has shown that thrombolysis of these so-called stroke mimics is safe. This case report presents a rare variant of a stroke mimic and illustrates the path from thrombolysis to definitive diagnosis in the form of a quiz.
