ATTRACT-Studie: innovative, individualisierte Therapie in der Neuroonkologie

Molecular-matched targeted therapy is a very successful therapeutic concept for many solid tumors. In glioma, these therapies work for subgroups only, especially when there are no evidence-based treatment recommendations left in the recurrent or progressive setting. Testing for rare molecular alterations and discussion in a molecular tumor board is obligatory and should be an option for aggressive tumors such as glioblastoma as early as possible. Functional precision medicine based on patient-derived tumor cells and ex vivo drug sensitivity testing provide valuable additional information and can help guide future personalized therapies with repurposed and new drugs. This approach will be tested in the multicentric ATTRACT trial in glioblastoma patients with unmethylated MGMT.
