Virtual Reality in Therapie und Diagnostik von Demenz

The view that the artificially created worlds that can be immersed in using virtual reality (VR) goggles are not for older people is long outdated. The use of VR has experienced a remarkable upswing in various areas of medicine in recent years, including its use for people with dementia. The use of VR in dementia care offers new opportunities for patients and caregivers. There are already some established applications of VR in the work with people with dementia. In the future, VR applications will also be used in diagnosis and early detection of dementia, as presented here in a research project.
