摘要

A differentiated description of treatment pathways for patients within the healthcare system’s care chain is currently lacking. Based on the (new) legal regulations in Austria and Europe, the content and scope of training, the job descriptions, and the respective core competencies of two central interface partners or professional groups in the care chain are presented. The results of this differentiated analysis (of the differences between the two professional groups) can serve as a starting point for the development of treatment pathways. The differences relate, firstly, to the scope of training and core competencies; the access requirements to the two healthcare professions; the role of a coherent theory-practice model; and the core element of psychotherapy—the intersubjective treatment model (defined both theoretically and praxeologically). A corresponding differentiated, prevalence-oriented care planning for mentally ill individuals through psychotherapy and all neighbour disciplines should be considered in the Austrian Health Structure Plan.
