摘要

This article examines psychotherapeutic processes concerning considerations of the therapeutic relationship from the perspective of psychotherapists and the perception of particular, beneficial or obstructive aspects of the process by patients and therapists. The qualitative data originated from interviews from a study on process and outcome in private practice (POPP) with integrative therapists and their patients and was analysed using qualitative content analysis. From the psychotherapists’ perspective, common alliance factors, individual factors that affect them or their patients, and contextual factors are extracted. The view of patients and psychotherapists on ‘significant events’ shows high congruence in the view of the dyads. The relationship should be characterised by empathy, appreciation, and participatory work at an equal level. Based on two studies of Integrative Therapy as an example of the humanistic approach, the results emphasise the importance of the therapeutic relationship and identify related factors that are relevant for both patients and their therapists.
