摘要

A series of ammonium salts of phenyl/(4-chlorophenyl) azosalicylic acid was synthesized. UV–Vis spectroscopy revealed characteristic absorption bands for all compounds at 260 nm and 365 nm. The synthesized derivatives were evaluated for in vitro biological activity against the Gram-positive bacterium Staphylococcus aureus, the Gram-negative bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and the yeast-like fungus Candida utilis. Additionally, their anticancer potential was assessed using human cervical adenocarcinoma (HeLa) cells and murine colon carcinoma (CT26) cell lines.
