摘要

In this study, a zinc/aluminium layered double hydroxide (LDH) was synthesized and characterized using FESEM, EDX, and FT-IR spectroscopy. The LDH was incorporated into carbon paste to create an electrochemical sensor for mesalazine detection. This sensor was employed as the working electrode in voltammetric determination of mesalazine. Experimental conditions were optimized, with 5 mg of modifier and pH 6. Electrochemical parameters were set at 50 mV pulse amplitude, 30 ms pulse time, and 40 mV s−1 scan rate. The sensor displayed linear anodic peak current responses for mesalazine concentrations ranging from 5 to 100 and 100 to 600 μM, with a detection limit of 2.5 μM. Reproducibility was assessed through inter- and intra-day relative standard deviations of 2.2% and 2.9%, respectively. Selectivity was tested against potential interferences like ascorbic acid, oxalic acid, glucose, sucrose, and folic acid. The successful mesalazine detection in real samples highlighted the sensor's potential as an efficient analytical tool.
